Vermont produces 229,062 barrels of craft beer (16th in US) which averages out to 15.1 gallons per 21+ adults (ranked #1 in US).
That’s a lot of suds! Since my last visit in 2011, 16 breweries have arrived on the scene with more on the way. The Vermont Brewers Association has a passport program to promote “beer tourism”. Simple enough,you get your brewery passport stamped at participating breweries and when you reach various levels you’re eligible for prizes ranging from an bottle opener to a tote bag.
